Oak Lawn is a neighborhood in a part of Dallas that was developed by John Neely Bryan. The first residents of the area were mostly wealthy families who moved to Oak Lawn from Downtown Dallas. Today, it remains an affluent and well-to-do neighborhood with many beautiful homes on tree-lined streets. Oak Lawn’s shopping district contains some of the best stores in all of North Texas including Neiman Marcus, Nordstroms, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Tiffany & Co. There are also great restaurants like Morton’s Steakhouse and upscale department store chains such as Barneys New York which have locations here.

Oak Lawn is bordered by White Rock Lake and Turtle Creek, which means that there are many opportunities to go kayaking or fishing if you live here. There are also several parks available for those who like to take walks or jog around the lake. The streets in Oak Lawn have been updated with sidewalks, street lights, and landscaping making this a very safe place to walk around at night as well.
Oak Lawn is a historical neighborhood in Dallas, Texas. The area was originally named after the oak trees that were found there when it was settled in 1887. It has grown into an eclectic and diverse community with many different ethnicities represented. Oak Lawn is known for its quaint shopping district and amazing restaurants, but most importantly it’s home to some of Dallas’ finest schools – including Bishop Lynch High School and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School. With all this going on, Oak Lawn is one of the best places to live in Dallas!
Oak Lawn, Dallas Texas is a wonderful community to call home and I am so excited to be able to share it with you. We have many great amenities here such as tennis courts, swimming pools, and our very own golf course. There are plenty of parks in the area for those who enjoy outdoor activities like hiking or biking.
